When it comes, the bereaved individual, child, family or parent goes through a turmoil of emotions and actions that oftentimes make no sense. Depending on the individual's coping skills and magnitude of loss, one would feel shocked, angry, guilt, sad, depressed or in denial. Others may sense they can not endure it and feel unsure how to cope with the challenging process of grieving.
Indeed, every grief experience is different and may never end. But through grief counseling, one can find help and support to manage grieving. My objective in grief counseling is for my clients to process and express their sorrow, anger, and other feelings leading to understanding or acceptance of the realities of death.
